New Playstation Store Goes Live Next Week

The Playstation Store has officially been redesigned. The changes go live next week on 17th October in Europe and 23rd October in the US.

With the new store, Sony’s focus has been to streamline the browsing experience. For example, the homepage of the store is dedicated to PS3 gaming content, with Vita, PSP and movies getting their own separate sections. Some of the changes include a new search system, where you scroll through a vertical alphabet instead of the old graphical keyboard and new search options.

Other changes incorporated into the new version of the Playstation Store include the addition of characters from various video games to feature on each page of the store. Looking for good demos? Well, Commander Shepard might be watching over you. Looking for that one trailer? Cole MacGrath can help.

We’ll have lots more coverage when the new store goes live!
