Vita Price Cuts Won’t Happen This Christmas

Incase you haven’t noticed, there is plenty of PS Vitas stacked up in your local video game retailer… Because they aren’t selling too well. Whether you blame it on the games, hardware or price, people just can’t see a strong appeal in the handheld console to justify a purchase.

If you wanted to pay less for your PS Vita, then you may be waiting for as long as next year. A Sony spokesman explained that a PS Vita price cut will not happen this Christmas. However, the UK spokesman did say that plans for bundled games are in process.

“We won’t have an across the board price down this Christmas” Fergal Gara from Sony UK explained. “We always aim to establish price cuts”… “But what you will see us doing is work very hard with our retail partners to add value to the product to make it more compelling.”

This simply means that a price cut won’t happen, but we may see added “value” to the overall product in the form of bundles.

Do you think these bundles will be enough to shift Vitas off shelves? Let us know in the comments.
